Human rights advocates in Cambodia say that the police had no right to burn

Both the villagers and Angkor Sugar company claim rights to the land. Before
negotiations started, police came and started tearing down and burning houses.
Villagers believe the operation is owned by Ly Yongphat, a member of the ruling
party.

anything to eat." said village representative Vong Veng. Ly Yongphat and Angkor
Sugar Company could not be reached for comment.

warplanes, and 250-300 tanks launched an invasion of Vietnam to punish it for
invading of Cambodia.
Nov. 14, 1979 The UN General Assembly adopts a resolution A/RES/34/22 calling
for the immediate withdrawal of all foreign troops from Cambodia. The vote is
91-21 with 29 abstentions.
