In Thailand the severe monsoon season has now killed more than 200 people in the worst flooding in decades.

Authorities in Thailand say flooding has affected 58 of the country's 77 provinces...and that Bangkok will be at risk of flooding for another month as excess water moves down the swollen Chao Phraya River.

In neighbouring Cambodia, heavy floods have killed at least 150 people since August.

This week, a Cambodian disaster agency spokesman said flood waters along the Mekong River and other places have damaged rice fields, as well as hundreds of schools and Buddhist temples.
